This is an example of one of the weave patterns that can be used on porch chairs...my personal favorite.   Not so long ago, porch chairs were made in the USA and constructed to last a lifetime.  It's sad how many of these oldies but goodies have ended up in trash pick-up, dumps, barns, attics and yardsales simply because people don't know how to get the seat (and/or back) panels replaced.  For less than, or close to, the cost to purchase one of today's low quality imported porch chairs new, you can bring me one of these cast-offs and I will give you back a little piece of history.  Every porch should have a porch rocker or chair; if you don't have one, hit the yard sales!
