Strand cane is a seven step process of weaving narrow strands of cane through holes drilled into a wooden frame. To determine the cost of replacing a strand cane panel, you count these holes and multiply...(see the pricing guide page). The picture to the left on this page shows the holes you count to estimate the cost of a replacement seat. I own this chair, so even though it doesn't show all of the holes I can tell you that there are 72. Figure your cost by multiplying the number of these holes $2.00. So this chair would cost $126.00 for a new seat. Can you buy a new chair that is as well made and/or potentially beautiful for less that $126.00?
As with all types seat replacement there is a fee for removal of the old material.
